BEAUTY MADE WITH US IN MIND
Dark Skin Beautiful was created from a truth too often overlooked: melanin-rich skin and textured hair deserve care informed by our needs, our culture, and real formulation knowledge. As a Black woman and Army veteran, I built DSB with discipline, curiosity, and deep respect for the rituals passed through our families.
“Yogi” has been my nickname for as long as I can remember. To me, it represents balance—between strength and softness, knowledge and intuition, self-care and community. That spirit guides DSB: thoughtful products, honest education, and everyday rituals designed to help you care for yourself with confidence.
Our Story
From the Bronx to Army service and now to family life rooted in the land, my journey has been shaped by reinvention, discipline, creativity, and purpose. I built Dark Skin Beautiful because too many beauty conversations still treat Black skin and textured hair as an afterthought.
DSB brings products and education together.
